Up until recently we were lead to believe that Motorola X would be a single smartphone that Google acquired smartphone makers were working on. However Motorola confirmed this rumor to be false and confirmed that the Motorola X will be a brand. Reportedly this is going to the first ever lineup from Motorola that is going to be directly influence by Google. This also explains why the first smartphone from the X lineup is planned to be announced at this year’s Google I/O. It was also confirmed that Motorola’s X series smartphones will be available for purchase through the Google Play Store in addition as well as usual carrier and retail stores. This is also the first lineup that Motorola has guaranteed at least one full Android version update and also confirmed that they will be overseeing the update themselves as opposed to the carriers. Also Motorola reported revealed that they will allow customers to customize their X series Smartphones before purchasing, this customization process will allow users to specify how much ram and internal storage they would like in their X series smartphone and will also allow them to have the bootloader unlocked as well have the SIM configured for every any carrier they want. Motorola also guaranteed that these custom tweaked devices will reach their owners in one week’s time. Lastly it was revealed that Motorola’s X series smartphones will be highly subsidized by Google themselves and will match the base Nexus 4’s price of $300. Further details will be revealed at Google’s I/O which will be starting may 15th 2013.
Motorola Mobility has officially unveiled the smartphone version of the Droid Razr MAXX HD. Called Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD, this team promises a larger battery of 3300mAh with greater autonomy, a mixed-use 32 hours, 21 hours of talk time, 8 hours of web browsing (4G LTE) and up to 13 hours of playback video.
With a thickness of 9.3 mm, the Droid Razr MAXX HD doubles the capacity of 32GB internal storage, and runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Other features are the same as the Droid RAZR HD .
It sports a Super AMOLED HD touch screen of 4.7 inch, an 8 megapixel rear camera with Full HD video recording and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. It features a dual-core processor at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi with DLNA, HDMI, 4G LTE support and NFC.
The Droid RAZR Maxx HD will be available in Verizon Wireless before the holidays and come in black only.
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx has a slim, attractive, and durable design. Despite a more powerful battery and the same gorgeous display, it has 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and a fast Verizon 4G/LTE data speed.
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx retains powerful multimedia chops and tight security features. This device has been dubbed as an advanced smartphone. But, the promise of an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is vague and disappointing.
The battery may be stronger, but it’s still not user-removable. The device sports an 8-megapixel camera, which is not impressive, however, for this type of smartphone. The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx proves to be powerful Android superphone. It is more powerful yet remained so thin, that makes it very compelling.
