HTC One X Gets Ice Cream Sandwich Update

 

 

A few days earlier than expected, HTC has begun the release operations of the expected update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich for the One X .

The new software version is the v.2.17.401.2 and introduces several improvements: the main signal a more fluid and powerful Web browser; the improvement of some features of the camera (white balance and autofocus); a more stable system; and the Beats Audio update.

Among the new upgrades, there is also the HTC Sense version 4.1 interface, introducing, among other things, the ability to map the recent key applications, eliminating the annoying “menu button with three dots” applications.

For users who have not received notifications of the update’s availability, you can do it manually. Just go to Settings > Information > Software Updates.

 

 

 

HTC Desire V: A Smartphone with Dual SIM

 

 

The Taiwanese company, HTC, comes in an official manner in the dual SIM smartphone market, with the Desire V, a phone that would allow smartphone users to experience the most complete, in a “package” compact and lightweight device. It is indeed a smartphone featuring a 3.5 inch screen (like the iPhone), a thickness of 9.3 mm and a weight of 114 grams.

From a technical standpoint, we see a single core processor 1GHz, 4GB of RAM and can use a MicroSD slot to expand the hard drive of the phone. If you want even more space, you can use the 25GB that Dropbox provides for HTC users for two years. The camera is 5 megapixels, which is good for most needs. As for the audio, it is integrated with BestsAudio technology, which improves the quality of the songs that are played.

The HTC Desire V is definitely a phone that will appeal to anyone looking for a mid-range smartphone with such an affordable price. This phone will have the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system installed.

The HTC Desire V should come to the market from this month of July and the month of August, at a price that should not exceed 400 euros.

 

 

 

Android 4.0 for the HTC Evo 3D

 

The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, HTC, has begun an update of Android 4.0 for its Evo 3D. The nearly 300 megabyte update version 3.6 includes among other things, their own sense surface.

HTC had promised the refresh software on several occasions, including immediately after the idea of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in November 2011.

Delivered, the smartphone has its autostereoscopic characteristic display since August last year with version 2.3 of the mobile operating system. With the new version to keep, among other things, there is a revised multi-tasking and more profound ways of analyzing and controlling volume data entry.

In addition, Android 4.0 promises to improve system stability and a number of new APIs. The update distribution from HTC as usual, will be “over the air”.

HTC Desire S: Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Officially Released

 

Another HTC smartphone gets official update to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich , whose OTA file was captured from China where it was currently released. We are talking about the HTC Desire S, a mid-range smartphone which now will run the Android 4.0.4 with HTC Sense version 3.6.

The update can be install on those devices if root permissions had been obtained, and had followed the procedure for the S-OFF. In some cases, however, the HTC Desire with S-OFF are not able to perform this upgrade, so as always we advise you to do it very cautiously.
