Apple’s newest full-sized tablet barely made the usual roar that its predecessor did. On the contrary, the most talked about aspect about the new tablet is the rather cold reception of the iPad users during its official launch date last November 1. Several Apple stores from all parts of the world noted significantly shorter lines for the iPad Air tablet, compared to the launching of iPad mini and iPhone 5c and 5s. Some outlets even expected bigger crowd, considering that Apple did not allow any pre-order for the latest tablet.
iPad air is the fifth installment of the full-sized Apple tablets, which first entered the market in 2010. In retains the classic 9.7-inch size, but only weighs 1 pound, making it the lightest and thinnest full-sized tablet to date. Apart from the improved external features, this new iPad is also equipped with the latest A7 processor of Apple, known to be the fastest so far.
Less than a week since the launching of the tablet, we have already gathered a bunch of interesting and diverse reactions on iPad air online.
Why people love it
Majority of the people who were eagerly waiting for the release of iPad Air are already users of either iPad 1 or iPad 2. Most of these stuck with their almost 9-inch tablets despite the massive success of iPad mini. Some people just need wider screen, and the forerunners of iPad air gave exactly just that. But, people were looking forward to iPad Air because of the promise of better mobility given the lightness of the tablet. That is besides the faster processor that comes with iPad Air. For some people, the improvements in iPad Air is beyond aesthetics, and it’s definitely a good catch for those who want to get their hands on the newest A7 processor of Apple. iPad Air is simply the most awaited upgrade for the tablets enthusiasts.
What the cynics say
Some reviews however claim that iPad Air offers nothing revolutionary. By this, people tend to compare the improvement from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4, or iPhone 5 to iPhone 5s. With this, they believe that iPad Air do not have the same value for money as the other gadget versions that Apple has released this year. These unmet expectations likewise prompted some avid tablet users to explore other powerful tablets in the market such as Google Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. For loyal Apple users, buzz on the release of the iPad mini 2 with Retina display is widely circulating online, with Apple execs announcing its release within the month.
What do you think of iPad Air? Could this finally be the right tablet for you?
Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a post that gets 10 likes/views and another one that gets hundreds or thousands of likes/views? Wouldn’t you love to know the secret….
The reality is that there isn’t one reason why, there’s 10000230129381203 possible things that could have played a big factor. The most obvious thing is how the post was conveyed. Are you talking about you? Are you framing the post about others? How are you writing?
Don’t talk about you. Don’t talk about others. Talk about what others want to see.
If you’re wanting 100 likes, who from? Frame the post to target them specifically and who cares about the rest of the people in your network (for this one particular post).
I’ve put together a little inspiration for you; here is a list of the top viral marketing campaigns of all time..
- Miley Cyrus
Yes her performance at the awards show was shocking, but it was genius from a marketing stand point. She now has five videos on YouTube that have surpassed 100 million views. To all her haters, you can’t deny the unbelievableness she’s put out over the past few months. Is she really a good girl gone bad … or a pure marketing genius?
- The KLM Surprise
KLM used social media tools to surprise the passengers boarding a flight. They found out more about each of their passengers using social media and surprised them with meaningful gifts. Aside from being a little creepy (hey, that also means more views) it was a super thoughtful and meaningful way to show KLM is keeping up to date with all the social media stuff going on.
- Old Man Spice and His Responses
I’ve laughed at everyone, I’ve even shared his videos with friends that I’m reminded of when watching these videos. He’s absolutely hilarious. Old Spice is smart and their marketers are even smarter. They uploaded 185 videos to YouTube over the course of two days and made sure they had the same toned responses to comments made on the video. Well done Old Spice.
- Dollar Shave Club ( a little startup inspiration)
This guy is awesome. With little budget and a lot of creativity, this video generated a customer base of over 200,000 recurring PAYING customers. WOW. This video is hilarious, and plays well to the pain the company is around to solve. Bravo.
The new Apple iPhone 5s, where S means “same” brings along faster, new camera and a clever fingerprint reader. But is it enough of an upgrade? The iPhone 5S: a phone that looks like the iPhone 5, but goes so much more under the hood. Is that going to be enough to impress the consumers?
Apple obviously is known of this change, be it the unibody of the HTC One, or the new fight into low-light cameras or the need for a strong processor as a headline to shout about. And to be fair, it’s addressed these needs to some degree or other on the new iPhone 5S.
The design of this new iPhone is almost same to the previous one. theres not much really new here that’s going to help you work out if the person sitting next to you on the train is rocking a new phone.
But on the other hand that’s not necessarily a bad thing either; just because it’s not an unique design, this doesn’t make the iPhone 5S any less premium. It’s still a great phone to hold, coming with great things like the all-aluminium-and-glass chassis. Great no?
Apple has launched the new iPhone with not one, but two, chips that will help it become one of the most powerful phones in the market. The A7 and M7 chip are the new and big thing.
So to say that this is the best iPhone yet is pointless, as of course it was going to be. But the combination of iOS 7 freshen things up with a powerful core and great camera mean that this phone should be considered on its own advantagets, and while the high price will continue to put many off, anyone already addicted to the iPhone bandwagon, or even if they’re just on the fence, will find a lot of joy in a phone that’s a lot more than the new update.
Blackberry is back in the arena with a huge bang – the Blackberry 9720. With its splendid design and sensational display 9720 is swaying away swaying people off. Blackberry 9720 was announced in August for its potential customers. It runs on the older BlackBerry 7.1 OS rather than the new and sleek BB10 OS. It is totally affordable and appealing for those looking for an amazing yet budget-friendly phone. BB 9720 has an internal memory of 512 MB a micro SD card up to 32 GB can be inserted. BlackBerry 9720 has Micro-SIM Card Slots and will support all GSM based networks. The display and design of BB are extremely fashionable and elite. It has a 2.8 inch display screen with the perfect and shapely typical BB curves and the standard qwerty keyboard. The phone weighs 120g along with the battery. In blackberry 9720, there is a dedicated and sensitive Volume Lock Power. It is available in different shades – black, white, purple, blue and pure pink. At some moment of time, blackberry was called ‘the blackberry’, when the fruit solely became a desire for everyone in terms of the cellphone. Today, blackberry has been positioned as the least wanted phone according to reports posted worldwide. Since its inception, blackberry has also been struggling some bugs which were hopefully straightened out.
Also, during the last year, an official had made it his target to make success achieve for Blackberry but it was all a hopeless dream. Where Android and Iphone stand battling for the limelight, you can easily see blackberry fading away.
It was heard that Blackberry has failed to achieve the funds required to buy out the company and has also changed its creative director. Changing opinions do matter in a market where the sales have soared for its competition. There are quite a few invoices that we may consider before we actually bid farewell to Blackberry.
During its inception, Blackberry had been seen making the headlines almost daily. Either the Blackberry storm made its headlines in a busy curtailing newspaper or the discovery of certain bugs made its way on television and also on the newspapers. It seems that phones and technology have been surpassed by Samsung which has the most amenable technology for which Apple even strives.
Regardless of the competitive world, Blackberry has tried to add more features, though people consider buying Android phones in contrast to Iphones or simple touch-key phones. This served to be a downfall for Blackberry as the sales marketed all the way from top to down in just a few years.
This may be a bit old, but believe me, let’s introduce it. As all of you know it, Samsung has or is actually trying to beat the Apple market and somehow, the latter would be preferable hoping for Steve jobs to signal them from Heaven and cite a new plan.
In the world of competition, you would bet that this fair. And yes, it most commonly is. Samsung is surpassing its sales right like a pinnata would explode after its is beaten and when it is exposed, all the goodies are yet to be devoured. Samsung has enlightened itself to the hallmark of fame and beauty on account of its super technology which has only been designed for humans, as if all the cellphones inculcated in the technology world before had been for wild animals.
However, technology speaks. Samsung had chosen the Android 4.3 OS instead of the continual Jellybean 4.22 one. Jellybean had replaced Gingerbread once and of course, the former had then to be replaced originally by something new and big, too.
Well, since jellybean is still provocative in tonnes of Smartphones out there, one could not see it fading away in this world of technology which is super fast in designing cool gadgets only and only for humans.
When would be the time when Android would take over the Apple Market? It has more versatile applications and as compared to Nokia’s quaint technology now, it has also been able to shoot past Windows. Well, one would still possess a soft corner for Nokia as reliability speaks. Miss it?
Sony has produced a phone with the largest footprints! Yes, I am talking about the latest addition to the Xperia family. The Xperia Z Ultra! In words of Joe Levi “Z Ultra has everything you want in your next phone.” The Z Ultra is the first phone to have the Snapdragon 800 SoC inside and is also the first Android 4.2.2 device by the company. The 6.44-inch display has grabbed our attention. Undoubtedly it is a huge device, I think is huge-est among all smart phones, but with 6.5mm thickness it sits more comfortably in the hand than you might expect. The full HD screen really dazzles too. Well, the same can be said about the new touch input capabilities. Sony’s custom takes on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. With a 1080p resolution, there remains absolutely no doubt that the Z Ultra is a mega hit. As a true phablet, you’ll be able to use a stylus with the Z Ultra. While it doesn’t come with pen-style input device, the display is capable of taking notes using the built-in handwriting recognition tool. Interestingly, it also lets you use a pencil or a metal pen to write on the screen.
Indeed, the Xperia Z Ultra seems like a very capable smart phone in nearly every respect. It’s a definite possibility that this phablet might win over the smart phone market as the power and size combination are currently unique. This handset shows how keen the Japanese brand is to show it’s at the forefront of technology.
It seems that Huawei is once again set on achieving a new goal, right after releasing the much hyped Huawei Ascend P6 they announced that the interest rate has been high as ever before and they are intending to sell a whopping 10 million units this year. This statement came personally from Huawei CEO Yu Chendong, he also shared that he is very proud of their latest device and appreciate the hard work that went into making it. The Huawei Ascend P6 is intended to be priced around €450 in Europe and CNY2,688 (around €327) in China , which is a very clever move from Huawei as this gives their new flagship a great advantage in terms of ‘Bang for Buck’. It was also revealed by some sources that thousands of Huawei Research and Development engineers were involved in creating this device and that they are confident that it can compete with all other flagships out there. Huawei also left nothing to chance as they have allocated 11 million dollar for marketing in China alone and another 30 million dollar more for promoting the device in Europe, which is amazing for just one single device. Overall we think that the Huawei Ascend P6 has a fair chance of achieving its goal and may even go as far as competing against the likes of Sony, Apple and Samsung.
The modern era of smartphone is dominated by Android and iOS, which creates a very tough position for exclusive ones such as the BlackBerry OS. However there are still many loyal BlackBerry users who prefer their simple and light OS over more functional ones. Fortunately for them BlackBerry is fighting on and has just announced more details about their upcoming BlackBerry OS 10.1 update, some of the notable new additions in this new update are features such as HDR photos , APN editor, new and improved notification system, ability to send PIN to PIN messages, and finally the paste support for their dial pad. Some other minor improvements include better Camera performance, improved typing and better battery performance. BlackBerry users have been asking for most of these features for a long time and hopefully this new update will be enough to keep them from switching to another manufacturer. One of the reasons that BlackBerry owners are still loyal to the manufacturer is their superior support, but if BlackBerry keeps delaying them , then this might just turn out to be the end of BlackBerry as we know it.
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 has been the most well marketed phone so far in 2013, it achieved the highest interest out of any other smartphone , easily beating the likes of Sony Xperia Z and HTC ONE. Naturally this indicates towards a very high sales rate, if not the highest of them all and this automatically makes it the must have smartphone for every carrier. Unsurprisingly AT&T is the first to take a legitimate step and has announced that they will start shipping the Samsung Galaxy S4 from April 23. As a matter of fact the Samsung Galaxy S4 is already available for pre order via AT&T’s official website with the new date added to the mix. The price remains the same at approximately $639.99 and there are no extra details added yet. However seeing how frequently the availability dates are changing, we suggest our beloved reads not to take anything for granted and just see how thing turn out.
Recently Viber has grown a lot in popularity and has become the must have application for almost all platforms. Though most of the other platforms have had Viber for quite a while now, BlackBerry OS was among the unfortunate few that didn’t have the privilege of experiences Viber. However after releasing the application in major platforms such Android and iOS , Viber has finally started to pay some attention the Blackberry OS and as a result has finally launched the application for BlackBerry OS 5 and OS 7. Unfortunately BlackBerry OS will not receive this application due to technical problems, regardless the major reason why BlackBerry’s older OS are getting all the attention all of a sudden lies in their registration rates, as it turns out almost 15 thousand registrations are made through BlackBerry Smartphones per day, whic leads to an estimate 175 million users (globally) that are using Viber as their VoIP across all major platforms. This also means Viber has become one of the most successful VoIP of all time and are soon catching up to Skype which currently holds the number 1 VoIP spot, but if things keep going the way they have, it won’t be long before Viber dethrones Skype as the leading VoIP on mobile platforms. Also keep in mind Viber has a technical advantage over Skype as it can run silently without interrupting your daily work making it a better VoIP overall, so there is a high possibility that Skype will soon lose out to Viber unless they do something innovative.
